“The principle aim of psychotherapy is not to transport one to an impossible state of happiness, but to help (the client) acquire steadfastness and patience in the face of suffering.”

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults looking for a collaborative and non-judgmental space where emotions and thoughts can be openly explored. My background and training has an emphasis on trauma recovery and the treatment of anxiety. I am recently trained in providing Exposure-Response Preventions (ERP) which is the gold standard for treating Obsessive-Complusive Disorder (OCD).
I bring a thoughtful and genuine presence to therapy and consider this connection key to self-discovery, healing, and change. I believe psychotherapy supports the development of good relationships, healthy boundaries, mindfulness, attention to balance, and empathy and respect for yourself and others. To me, psychotherapy is a shared experience in which the therapist and client can together find meaning. I use a varied approach – focusing on interpersonal, attachment, personality and familial issues. Additionally, I value the connection between mind and body and work to increase awareness of one’s physical self in hopes of bringing inner peace and balance. I believe the more attentive one is to his/her true self – mind, body, and soul – the easier it can be to face life’s challenges.

FEES & INSURANCE
My current fee for a 50 minute individual therapy session is $150. Initial 15 minute phone consultations are always free and can be scheduled by filling out the contact form or emailing me. Please note that I do not accept insurance and am considered a "private pay clinician" meaning that is your responsibility to pay for each session at the time of service. If you desire to utilize your "out-of-network" insurance benefits, I can provide you with a receipt (superbill) of your payment that you may submit for potential, partial reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for out-of-network benefits. Many people find that their insurance can help cover some costs, even for out-of-network providers, once he deductible has been met.
I accept credit card, cash, or check for payment at the time of service. I require 24 hour notice to cancel sessions to avoid incurring a fee for the cost of the session.
CONTACT ME
